Welcome to our 4th Annual Romance Week!

Once again Chrystal from Snowdrop Dreams of Books and I are putting on our fabulous week long event filled with all sorts of wonderful romance, great authors and giveaways galore!

To kick things off this week I have the lovely Dixie Lee Brown and over visiting Chrystal is Lindsay Paige & Mary Smith!

Dixie has been writing stories for years, storing ideas and first drafts of manuscripts in every spare closet and drawer. Then one day she decided she wanted to be an author more than anything, pulled out one of those story ideas and got serious!

Her romantic suspense novels are great for curling up and losing yourself in the story. Dixie’s first novel in the Trust No One series, All or Nothing, placed 3rd in the romantic suspense category of the 2011 TARA (Tampa Area Romance Authors) Contest. The second,When I Find You, has just been released. The third book in the series – If You Only Knew – is coming soon!

Dixie moved from Montana to a small town in Central Oregon in 1972, married and raised two daughters. Today her two small dogs hold down the back of the couch and watch for intruders as she works on another novel.

Hello Dixie Lee and welcome to Stitch Read Cook!

Thank you so much for taking part in our annual Romance Week event.

1 - What drew you to writing Romance to begin with?

That feeling I get when the larger than life hero steps off the page and into the room with me. The idea that there's a happily-ever-after for everyone, no matter how scarred by life we happen to be. The world of writing is my safe place. It's when I come out that I get myself in trouble!

2 - If Hollywood optioned your book into a movie, who would play the lead characters?

Josh Holloway and Jennifer Lawrence

3 - What are you writing at the moment?  Can you give us a sneak peek into your current WIP?

Whatever It Takes, book four in the Trust No One series will hit e-shelves in July. Here's a little teaser: Detective Nate Sanders and Alex Morgan have unfinished business. The last time they worked together, she wrecked his prized 1969 Ford Mustang Mach I, and he doesn't forgive easily. When she's sent to retrieve him to join Joe Reynolds team in search of Marco, a five-year-old kidnap victim, Alex knows she'll have to play nice and apologize - but apologies aren't really her thing.

4 - Who is your favourite romance author and why?

A.J. Nuest, author of Jezebel's Wish, I've Got Dibs, and The Golden Key Chronicles. She writes scenes that literally jump off the page. They're so true to life, and her characters are people I'd want to be friends with. Her stories grab me by the emotions and don't let go even after I've finished the book. Love her work!

5 - If your book were to have a theme song, what would it be?

I WON'T LET GO by Rascal Flatts

Quick & Easy:

1.  Book or E-book? E-book

2.  Day or Night? Night

3.  Coffee or Tea? Coffee - Starbucks!

4.  Plotter or Panster? Panster

5.  Dark or Milk Chocolate? Milk Chocolate...or dark!

6.  Wallflower or Belle of the Ball? Wallflower (blush)

7.  Laptop or Desktop? Laptop

8.  Love at first sight or Second chances? Both, of course!

9.  Angel or Demon? Angel most of the time!

10.  Reality or Fiction? Fiction

11.  Author’s Choice - what do you want to ask the readers? What's the last best romance you've read?

Beautiful but deadly, Rayna Dugan is a force to be reckoned with--even in heels.

But when her plans for the evening suddenly involve defending her life against a criminal empire, Rayna knows she needs backup. The choice she made to leave Ty and her old mercenary team in Montana starts to seem like a bad call. She's been running from her feelings for the tough, rugged man, but Rayna needs Ty now more than ever. Yet when Ty becomes the new target, his help could mean his death ...

Ex-cop Ty Whitlock has spent the last six years waiting for his past to catch up with him. When it finally does, he isn't expecting the woman he loves--the one who walked out on him--to be caught in its web. He knows she's moved on, but he can't help wanting another chance with the petite beauty. Ty's got only one choice: find Rayna and keep her safe. But that's the easy part. Once he finds her, can he convince her to stay?
